The Morton High School Marching Band has been selected to march in the Presidential Inauguration Parade in Washington DC on January 20th. This is a tremendous honor as only the top bands in the country have been selected.
Marie and Steve Arendell, owners of Schooner’s of Morton, will be holding a fundraiser for the MHS Band on Wednesday, December 17 from 4:00 – 7:00pm. Proceeds from the evening will be donated to the band for the Washington D. C. trip. Gift certificates will also be available for purchase that evening with 10% of the proceeds donated to the band. This is very generous on the part of Schooner’s so please spread the word and let’s have a great turnout.
